EMI ESTIMATOR – PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: August 30, 2026
EMI PRINTWORKS, INC. (“EMI Printworks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of the business and customer information used in connection with the EMI Estimator application (“EMI Estimator”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information EMI Estimator may access, how that information is used, and how it is protected.
1. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT OR ACCESS
EMI Estimator may collect, receive, store, or process information needed to support estimating, pricing history, customer service, production, and invoicing workflows.
This may include:
• customer and company names;
• customer contact information;
• estimate and job information;
• printing specifications, quantities, paper, finishing, and pricing information;
• invoice numbers, invoice dates, invoice line descriptions, quantities, rates, and amounts;
• related internal notes and workflow information;
• technical information needed to operate and secure the application.
2. QUICKBOOKS ONLINE DATA
If EMI Estimator is connected to QuickBooks Online, EMI Estimator may access business information authorized through Intuit’s OAuth authentication process.
Depending on the functions enabled, this may include:
• customer records;
• invoices;
• invoice line items;
• transaction identifiers;
• other accounting information needed for estimating, historical pricing, invoicing, and related internal business workflows.
EMI Printworks does not ask users to provide their Intuit password to EMI Estimator.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information accessed or stored by EMI Estimator may be used to:
• prepare customer estimates and quotes;
• compare current estimates with prior customer pricing;
• improve pricing consistency;
• support production and job-management workflows;
• prepare or support final invoicing;
• prevent duplicate records or invoices;
• troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the application;
• protect the security and integrity of EMI Printworks systems.
We do not use QuickBooks Online data for advertising.
4. SHARING OF INFORMATION
EMI Printworks does not sell customer or QuickBooks Online data.
Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary to operate the business or the application, including with:
• authorized EMI Printworks employees or contractors;
• service providers that support hosting, software, accounting, or technical operations;
• Intuit or other third-party services when required to operate an authorized integration;
• government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or security.
Any service provider receiving information is expected to use it only for the purpose for which it was provided.
5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
EMI Printworks uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and EMI Printworks cannot guarantee absolute security.
Access credentials and authentication tokens used for connected services are intended to be stored securely and limited to authorized use.
6. DATA RETENTION
EMI Printworks may retain business, estimate, pricing-history, invoice, and related information for as long as reasonably needed for business operations, recordkeeping, customer service, legal compliance, accounting, or dispute resolution.
Information obtained through QuickBooks Online may also be retained locally when needed to support historical pricing and workflow functions.
When information is no longer reasonably required, EMI Printworks may delete or anonymize it, subject to legal, accounting, operational, and backup requirements.
7. DISCONNECTING QUICKBOOKS ONLINE
An authorized user may disconnect EMI Estimator from QuickBooks Online through the applicable Intuit or QuickBooks connected-app settings or by contacting EMI Printworks.
Disconnecting the integration stops future access through that authorization. Information previously retrieved and retained for legitimate business or recordkeeping purposes may remain in EMI Printworks records as described in this policy.
8. ACCESS, CORRECTION, OR DELETION REQUESTS
Customers or authorized users may contact EMI Printworks to ask questions about information maintained through EMI Estimator or to request correction or deletion where appropriate.
Certain information may need to be retained for accounting, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
EMI Estimator may interact with third-party services, including QuickBooks Online and Intuit. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
EMI Printworks is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
EMI Estimator is a business application and is not directed to children under 13. EMI Printworks does not knowingly collect personal information from children through EMI Estimator.
